Chapter 1: Page 3

Stormy reared up and King Jamie had to hold on tightly. Wondering what had spooked his horse he looked ahead of them and saw a squat little creature, with a weird greenish hue, standing before the entrance to the bridge, effectively blocking their path.

“Let us pass!” King Jamie ordered the creature “I am the King of this land and I demand you step aside.”

The creature continued to stare at him in an unnerving sort of way. Then it took a step forward and bowed. “I will let you pass King, but first allow me to grant you a wish. My name is Nancy-Ann and I am a mere goblin but I live to serve and so I shall grant you one wish.”

Chapter 1: Page 2

So King Jamie set out on his trusty steed Stormy. He rode for many days and many nights, crossing through villages until he was on the open road. Where it would take him he did not know.

On the thirteenth day he came to a bridge that led out of the Kingdom of Trondo and to the surrounding Kingdom of Zontaryo. King Jamie let out a deep breath as he gazed into the distance, he would truly be on his adventure once he crossed over the bridge and left Trondo behind. He couldn’t wait to see what the world held for him.

He pressed Stormy onwards.

But before the horse’s hooves could hit the bridge they were stopped…

Chapter 1: Page 1

King Jamie was the ruler of Trondo a vast Kingdom. He was a good and honest King. He worked hard to meet the needs of his people and did everything in his power to make sure they were happy.

However, for as hard as he worked to make his people happy, he was not happy. He was lonesome for he was the last of his decedents. All he wanted was a friend, someone who he could spend time with and talk to. He had his maids and his servants, his cooks and his staff, the merchants and baggers but none of them truly knew him or cared for him. He was their King and they were loyal to him but they did not know him.

So King Jamie decided to set out on an adventure to find a friend, someone who did not know him as the King. Some tried to stop him from leaving for fear that the Kingdom would fall apart without him but he was determined to go and he promised that once he had found what he was looking for, he would return to them.
